Made possible through
the generosity of the New York State Legislature and the New York State
Division of Housing and Community Renewal.
Numerous programs exist to
help nonprofit and municipal community development agencies undertake community
improvement projects. The Rural Community Development Resource Directory
has been organized to assist you in identifying financing programs, including
grants and loans, which are potential sources of funding for the program
or project you are interested in implementing in your community.
The programs identified in
this directory are available in rural areas of New York. Some of the smaller
programs and funders only serve certain communities. Other programs are
larger in scope, and are available in communities outside of New York State,
as well. Where the information is available, the communities served have
been identified on the individual funding reports.
Each funding/resource program
description contains contact information, information on the eligible activities
and applicants, statutory citations (where applicable), and other information
to help you decide if your proposed project or program is a good fit for
that funding source.
This directory will be periodically
updated to include information on new programs as that information becomes
available. Information on funding programs and areas of interest of funders
is subject to change, often without notice. If you discover that any information
provided in this directory is incorrect, please notify us by clicking here.
