Program Name: Community Services Block Grant Alternate Name: CSBG

 
Purpose: To provide services and activities which have a measurable and potential major impact on causes of poverty in a community and improve the quality of life for low income persons.

 
Eligible Applicants: Indian tribes and organizations. Non Indian assistance is passed through the state as block grants.

 
Eligible Activites: Employment services; education support; emergency services for health, nutrition and employment; housing assistance services; outreach services; coordination services; and other poverty elimination programs or services.
