Program Name: Appalachian Regional
Commission Area Development
Alternate Name: ARC Program

 
Purpose: Supports community and business development, workforce training and education, and healthcare provision in the southern tier counties included within the Appalachian Region.

 
Eligible Applicants: Local public agencies and non-profits in the Counties of Schoharie, Delaware, Otsego, Chenango, Broome, Cortland, Tioga, Tompkins, Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, Allegany, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus.

 
Eligible Activites: Infrastructure in support of business development or job creation, development of community capacity to provide improved public services, and rural health care partnerships and efforts to recruit or retain health care professionals.
