Program Name: American Express Economic Independence Grant

 
Purpose: To support financial education projects whose purpose is to increase the financial literacy of underserved segments of the population in ways that develop skills leading to positive changes in money management behaviors.

 
Eligible Applicants: Non-profit organizations, particularly at the community/county level.

 
Eligible Activites: Purchase or adaptation of educational curricula and materials for use to reach directly targeted audience for financial literacy services.  Related project costs for planning, implementation, and evaluation can be paid by the grant, as well.
