Program Name: Altria Group Community Kitchens Grantmaking Initiative Alternate Name: Community Kitchens Grants

 
Purpose: To fund community kitchen programs that are job training programs for low  income people in community based shelter settings, and or meal programs providing meals produced by the trainees to various vulnerable populations, including the homeless, people living with HIV/AIDS, survivors of domestic violence, the homebound elderly and children in after school programs.

 
Eligible Applicants: 501-c-3 nonprofits

 
Eligible Activites: Purchase of supplies and equipment for ommunity kitchens, trainee stipends, trainee transportation costs, salaries for chef-trainer, social service, career/job placement and or job retention staff, consulting fees, and  other reasonable program costs.

How To Apply: Follow instructions on website for the specific program.  Altria partners with various national nonprofit agencies to administer the corporate giving programs.  Applications are submitted to the partnering agency, not directly to Altria.
