Research and Resources
The Rural Housing Coalition's network of rural housing professionals work toward a common goal: to design, develop, finance, rehabilitate, build and manage affordable housing to meet the diverse needs of rural New Yorkers. Members of our network share their knowledge and expertise to advance this goal. They include government leaders and agency staff, housing and community developers, banking industry professionals, architects, attorneys, regional planners, health and human services professionals, and others. Together, these housing professionals form a unified voice advocating for improvements in the quality of life in rural New York.
The Coalition has considerable expertise in:
- Nonprofit community-based organizational development & management;
- Affordable housing development, financing and management;
- Housing resource development and grantmanship;
- Educational programming & information dissemination.
Rural Delivery
The Coalition provides up-to-date information to members through a newsletter, Rural Delivery. The publication covers state, federal and private funding opportunities, budget and administrative activities, current issues related to rural poverty and housing, and other related public policy issues.
In addition, the Coalition is always adding to its presence on the Internet by updating and enhancing this site. While presently, we are accessible via email, the powerful potential of using more features of the Internet to increase communication and information sharing with our members is a priority.
